Pentathlon Canada mourns the loss of Shirley White

Many people have gone into making Canada’s Modern Pentathlon possible.

This past weekend, we lost one of those people who had been so integral to creating the sport we have today.

With a heavy heart we share the sudden and tragic loss of Shirley White. She had been the Ontario Modern Pentathlon Association ( OMPA ) President for many years, hosting countless provincial and national competitions.

Some of our more ‘seasoned’ alumni may have been recruited by Shirley from Pony Club tetrathlon or competed next to her children.

We extend our condolences to her family.
