2020 National Modern Pentathlon Championships -Covid-19 update

Dear Pentathlon Canada Community:

As you know, many sporting events are being cancelled in the wake of the COVID-19 pandemic. Unfortunately, we have also been forced to review our Nationals Competition scheduled for July 11 in Calgary, AB.

At our Pentathlon Canada Board meeting in April, the Board made the difficult decision to cancel our Nationals Competition for 2020. If conditions change such that it would be deemed safe by health authorities to conduct the event, we would revisit this decision.

There are many factors to take into consideration. For example, our High Performance Director has recommended that if the event is rescheduled, athletes be given 3 months notice in order to properly prepare and train for the competition.
