2019 federal budget continues to support Canadian athletes

Pentathlon Canada is pleased in reading Finance Minister Bill Morneau’s fourth federal budget released on March 18, 2019 that Canadian sports organizations will benefit from a $6 million per year for five years investment to promote accessible, ethical, equitable and safe sports.

This funding will enable Canadians to experience the life changing benefits of sport participation domestically and on an international level.

Minister Kirsty Duncan continues to support the government’s commitment to taking strong action by funding Canadian sports organizations such as Pentathlon Canada to better support its athletes and strive for podium potential in a safe and healthy environment.

We, at Pentathlon Canada, want to thank Minister Duncan, Finance Minister Morneau and the federal government for this significant investment towards enjoying the full benefits of sport.
