Joshua Riker-Fox

Born: September 6, 1983 in Calgary, Alta.
Hometown: Delacour, Alta.
Coaches: John Hawes (national); Denis Fournier (Fencing); Jamie Connors (swim); Doug Lamont (run). 

Riker-Fox started modern pentathlon in 1997 after competing in Pony Club tetrathlon (which includes swimming, running, riding, and shooting) from the age of 12. Since then, he has competed internationally for Canada on many occasions, winning a bronze medal at the 2007 Pan American Games Representing Canada at the 2008 Beijing Olympic Games is his most memorable sporting experience. He has a bachelor in commerce and kinesiology from the University of Calgary, and is currently working on his MBA. He also works as a personal trainer at the Calgary Winter Club. Riker-Fox is described as a dedicated, unselfish athlete who promotes the sport of pentathlon and the Olympic movement through speaking engagements, and other activities.
