Denise Fekete Memorial Fund

The Fund was established following the untimely death of Denise in May 2002 following a courageous battle with pancreatic cancer. Denise was passionate about pentathlon and this fund celebrates her active involvement in our organization for more than 25 years.

Through the many generous donations received, the fund will be able to provide a cash award to the top Canadian male and female athlete, competing in either the Junior or Senior Divisions at the Annual National Championships each year.

John Norton Memorial Award

Before his passing in 1984 due to cancer, John Norton was the National Team Coordinator of CAMPA (now Pentathon Canada). He worked very hard to promote modern pentathlon across Canada and to establish links with South and Central America.

Each year at the Canadian Pentathlon Championships, the athletes voted in a secret ballot for the person they feel has shown exceptional sportsmanship and consideration for others. The winner is given a plaque and cheque from Pentathon Canada in John’s honour.
